The Four is Ratio's smallest coffee maker to date. A compact and elegant machine that prepares between 150 and 600 ml of coffee per brew, the equivalent of one to two normal-sized cups, or a large insulated mug.
The Four uses the same technology as its predecessors, the Eight and Six, allowing the release of CO2 through a pre-infusion cycle and precise distribution of water onto the grounds through a wide nozzle.
Just as simple as pods, but so much better
Have you ever wondered how much the convenience of a Keurig really costs? On average, between $33 and $50 per pound, depending on the roaster. And that's for mediocre coffee, hastily brewed and generating considerable waste, in disposable plastic pods. Buy freshly roasted coffee from your local roaster and let the Four brew you a cup: the taste will be incomparable.
Removable water tank
Filling the water tank is now child's play. Simply place the removable tank over the sink and fill it with 150 to 600 ml of water. For greater accuracy, weigh the tank on a scale and fill it to the desired volume.
Automatic pre-infusion cycle
Also called pre-infusion, this first injection of hot water causes bubbles to form in the freshly roasted coffee. The Four then lets the coffee rest for 15 seconds before infusing the remaining hot water for optimal extraction.
Compatible with multiple filters
The Ratio Four is compatible with several popular filters. It comes with a flat filter holder (for Melitta or similar filters) which promotes even extraction, but Hario V60™, Kalita Wave™ and Origami™ filters also work perfectly.
Constant water temperature
The powerful and compact heating element of the Four machine guarantees hot water between 91 and 95 °C (195 and 203 °F), in accordance with the Specialty Coffee Association standards for filter coffee.
Large stainless steel shower head
The wide shower head ensures optimal saturation of the ground coffee. It can be removed without tools, making cleaning and descaling easy.
