Thanks to your support and loyalty, Brown Bag Coffee Roasters has won the 2020 Th3rdwave Award for the Coffee Roaster of the Year for the Ottawa-Gatineau region. 

What are the Th3rdwave Awards?
Since 2017, the Th3rdwave Awards are a yearly celebration created to promote, encourage, and honour the efforts and achievements of independent coffee shops and coffee roasters. 

Why is this 2020 award important for BBCR?
We all know how challenging 2020 has been. At BBCR, we have worked hard and have adapted to all the restrictions that have been implemented while continuing to deliver amazing products. We are proud to have made significant upgrades to our facility to include a better brew bar for clientele to experience our coffees, as well as a brand new roaster with more capabilities and capacity. November and December of 2020 saw more coffee leave the roastery than ever before, even in the midst of a pandemic! 

Whatever challenges we may face, we have a lot to celebrate. We have grown stronger and given a sparkle of normality during this challenging year to our local community while reaching out to gain new customers beyond the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

We are passionate and dedicated and receiving this award was indeed a nice surprise but also a validation of the work we have been putting into our roastery.
