Our dark roast has prompted the addition of a new origin to our collection. Sumatra and Colombia produce a rich, full-bodied coffee for press, drip and espresso.
The dark roast blend is comprised of Sumatra and Colombia. Both of these beans take darker roasts very well and offer amazing flavors. You won’t find any offensive bitterness or charcoal here—just a smooth richness accompanied by amazing notes of nuts, dark chocolate, and a full, smoky body. For a dark roast, we recommend immersion and espresso-style brewing. Brewers like the Coffee Press, AeroPress, and even Clever Drippers will complement the roast profile beautifully.
Our dark roast blend ranks 10 on the roast scale and 49 on the Agtron Gourmet Scale established by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
