Celebrating National Coffee Day

The celebration of National Coffee Day in Canada ties in closely with a strong coffee culture and a deep love for coffee.

Canadians consume more coffee than tap water! 2-3 cups per day. Canadian coffee drinkers consume an average of 2.7 cups per day.
73% of Canadians drank coffee in the last 24 hours. 62% drank tap water. 44% drank tea. In Canada, coffee consumption has increased dramatically since 2010. More than half of Canadians who drink coffee prefer traditional coffee. Two out of three Canadians visit a coffee shop at least once per month.
Black coffee (with/without milk) is the most popular to-go order across Canada. One-third choose espresso-based beverages. Most Canadians drink their coffee at home. Seven out of ten cups of coffee are consumed at home.
